- Chelsea managed to steal full points when they visited Brighton and Hove Albion headquarters in the 2023-2024 Premier League match. 

The Brighton vs Chelsea match in Week 27 of the Premier League will take place at the American Express Community Stadium, Wednesday (15/5/2024) or Thursday (16/5/2024).

Chelsea silenced the home crowd in the 37th minute after opening the scoring through Cole Palmer.

Cole Palmer broke through Brighton's goal with a header after utilizing a cross from Marc Cucurella.

Chelsea's 0-1 lead over host Brighton lasted until the end of the first half.

In the second half, the Blues, nicknamed Chelsea, managed to double their lead over Brighton.

Christopher Nkunku fired a shot with his right foot which penetrated the opponent's net after taking advantage of an assist from Malo Gusto.

Chelsea lead 2-0. However, in the 88th minute the Blues had to play with 10 men after Reece James received a red card for a foul.

The referee checked the video assistant referee (VAR) then gave James a red card.

Brighton managed to make good use of the advantage in the number of players.

In the 90+7th minute, Danny Welbeck gave Brighton hope with a goal with a right foot shot. Welbeck managed to take advantage of a cross from Joao Pedro.

The score became 1-2. However, the remaining time was not enough for Brighton to equalize.

The match ended with a score of 1-2 in favor of Chelsea. Thanks to achieving these three points, Chelsea managed to move up to sixth place with 60 points, passing Newcastle United in seventh position.

Chelsea are now three points away from Tottenham who are in fifth place. Meanwhile, Brighton is currently in 10th place with 48 points.
